This summer was a bummer.
I spent long days in the office at my internship doing a variety of bitch work tasks, and when I wasn’t getting lunch for someone important I was doing analysts and other marketing crap.
During my lunch break I was constantly getting hit on by one of the other interns, Charlie, who was a spoiled rich kid and who I wanted absolutely nothing to do with.
I lived for the weekend, and today happened to be Friday, and tonight I had big plans, plans with an Irish boy I promised to stay away from.
My family thought it best if I didn’t see Niall, it would be too uncomfortable for Harry. Although I loved Harry and would never want to put a strain on our relationship I couldn’t stay away.
Niall was perfect, he was charming and funny, but he could also be sensitive and he was constantly keeping me intrigued and always kept me wanting more.
So here I was arriving at Niall’s flat on a Friday at 6:00pm like I had done many nights before.
With a light knock at the door I could hear shuffling as Niall came to open the door.
“Come on in love,” he gave me a light kiss on the cheek before I stepped into his flat. It was a moderate size with a kitchen, connected living room, a small den where he held his guitars, and two bedrooms each with their own bathroom.
Niall went back to the stove to continue what looked like cooking, but Niall never cooked.
“Niall?” I asked in confusion.
“Catherine?” he called back, earning an eye roll from me.
Ever since we started this whole “friends” situation he felt that he was on that level to call me by my full name, he knew how much I hated it and he found it to be hysterical.
“What exactly are you doing?”
He turned away from the stove to shoot me a confused expression, “I’m cooking, what does it look like I’m doing?”
“Niall you don’t even know how to cook.” I said shaking my head.
“Hey have a little more faith in me yeah?”
“Fine, but if it sucks I will let you know, and you will buy me pizza.”
“You’re so difficult.” I heard him mumble, but I decided to ignore it entirely.
“Well Chef Horan would you like any help?” I said gliding off of the stool I was sitting on at the kitchen island.
“No, you already think I can’t cook I don’t need you to screw it up.” He gave a brief chuckle.
“You’re such a jerk.”
That’s how Niall’s and I relationship went. We were constantly picking fun of one another probably to make our situation a bit more comfortable. We knew we shouldn’t be seeing each other, but we just couldn’t stop.
As I walked over to the living room I flipped through the channels and finally landed on my favorite show Sex and the City. Yeah it was old but I was still addicted, I watched it now, but not intently as I normally did.
My eyes drifted off to a better view, that view being Niall. He hummed lightly as he cooked and he ran his fingers through his hair when he would read the packages for the directions, clearly confused. A real chef wouldn’t play with his hair while he cooked but I didn’t want to interrupt. Plus I found it to be kind of cute.
Eventually he got all of the food onto the table and called over for me to join him.
He had set out an unopened bottle of wine for the two of us to share and some chicken pasta.
“It looks good Niall.” I said giving him a small smile. It even smelled good but I didn’t want to give him that satisfaction before tasting it first.
“Of course it does love, I made it remember?”
He drove his fork down into the pasta and took a large bite of it before scrunching his nose up.
I too had taken a small bite and scrunched my nose up as well.
“What the-“ Niall stated.
“Well it’s not the bad.” I said with a small shrug trying to keep from gagging.
Feet, that’s what this pasta reminded me of. But Niall had been so cute cooking and I didn’t want to hurt his feelings so I mustered up the courage to stick my fork in the pasta yet again to take a bite.
“Stop, babe I’m not letting you eat this. It’s bloody awful!” Niall said as a booming laugh came from him, catching me off guard. He shoved his plate away from him stating that he was finished before pulling out his cell.
“Pepperoni good with you?” he asked.
I gave a small nod, I really did feel guilty for not liking his food even though he clearly did not have the stomach for it either. While he ordered the pizza I began to drink the wine.
“Wine’s good.” I said with a shrug.
Niall paid over the phone before ending the conversation and bringing his glass up to his mouth to take a swig.
“Now this wine is much better than the shit I made.” He said clearly amused by his ability to laugh at his horrid cooking.
“How much can we drink before the pizza gets here?” I asked with raised eyebrows.
“Oh you’re on Catie.” He said before gulping his glass.
The whole bottle. Together we drank the entire bottle in that short amount of time before the pizza arrived.
When the pizza came we sat in front of the telly, on the ground mind you stuffing our faces with delicious pepperoni pizza.
“Truth or dare,” Niall said taking a large bite of pizza.
“Truth.” I said confidently.
“Whens the first time you knew you liked me?”
I gulped, I didn’t think Niall would be one to ask such a sentimental question during truth or dare; he never ceased to catch me off guard.
“Uh, the first time I met you.” It was true, and I had to blush a little bit. We had met backstage before one of his shows. Harry had brought Gemma and I along to meet everyone and he was so charming and witty, he caught my eye instantly. I had never mentioned that to anyone until tonight. I felt my cheeks turn a slight pink from the embarrassing confession, although Niall didn’t seem to mind.
“Mine was when we met at that one club, you had just started your summer break, and you were all over me. I didn’t know you liked me until then, that’s when I decided I needed to make my move.”
“Hey! I was not all over you, you were all over me!”
“Sorry love you’re drunk, you were definitely all over me that night.” He gave a small laugh as I lightly smacked his arm.
“Hey no hitting!” he gave a small pout before pouncing on me and pinning me to the ground.
“Niall Horan get off of me!” I yelled in between my giggles.
“Say you’re sorry!”
With that he began to tickle me earning squeals from me and I made an attempt to wiggle out of his strong arms. But he wouldn’t allow that instead he pinned me down by laying his chest on mine.
He stopped tickling me and looked up at my face, we were both silent. My heart began to race at the thought of what might happen next.
Niall slowly moved his head down until his lips gently grazed mine and he gave me a quick peck before reading my response. It had took me off guard in my drunken state even thought it was what I had been wanting, but my body was eager for more.
His lips crashed into mine yet again this time with full force. His tongue entered my mouth and our tongues together battled for dominance, his ultimately won. I blame this on my drunken state, I wasn’t one to give up that easily.
He tasted even better than I remembered causing my senses to be completely overcome by him.
He broke away from the kiss to catch his breath and he slowly raised himself off of me, causing me to sit up propping myself up on my elbows.
“We- we shouldn’t. I didn’t mean to-“ he started.
“You’ve got to be kidding” I said with an eye roll, was he really about to leave me in this state?
“I just- we shouldn’t even be hanging out-“ he tried to explain himself but I wasn’t having it.
“Whatever Niall, I’ll find someone else that actually wants to be with me.” I said as I got up and headed from the door.
“Catie, no that’s not the issue here.” Niall said running up behind me and blocking my way to the door.
“Then what’s the issue Niall?” I said crossing my arms over my chest.
That’s when it happened again, his lips crashed into mine. Taking me off guard once again.
“Niall,” I said once he broke away.
“Ssh. I do want you, so bad.” He said before lifting me up so that I was straddling him, he then proceeded to carry me into the bedroom this way.
He gently dropped me onto his bed before he began gently sucking on my neck leaving little love bites as he trailed down to my breasts spending time on each one of my nipples circling them with his tongue.
This is when I realized how drunk I truly was because every sensation of his touch was phenomenal.
He stopped and looked up into my eyes before hastily removing my shirt, and I roughly pulled his shirt off as well. He slowly but carefully reached into my shorts and began rubbing me over my panties going closer and closer to my center rubbing gently with his fingers, before he moved my panties to the side in order to slip a finger in, earning a mumbled moan from me. Then he proceeded to slip in two causing an audible moan.
He pulled out earning a pout from me before he pulled off both of my shorts and panties and I tugged on his pants forcing them down as well. He kicked his jeans off letting them fall off the bed and onto the floor.
He reached over to his bedside table to grab a small packet which he ripped open with his teeth and slid it over his length.
"Niall-" I pleaded wanting to feel him already.
He placed his hands on either side of my face before he grinned down at me seriously,
“Hurry up Niall Horan.” I said trying to sound annoyed, at this point I wanted him so desperately.
“You got it.” He smirked as he lined himself up with my center and began to gracefully thrust into me.
His movements were at a moderate pace and his thrusts were seeming to hit my spot every single time. I lifted my legs so they would wrap around his waist to increase both of our pleasure, once my legs were secured around his waist he breathed out a soft moan.
"Damn baby-" he panted.
“Niall-“ I let out a muffled groan.
“It’s okay, you can be loud.” He said his voice hoarse from the strenuous activity.
I gave out another groan while digging my nails into his back from the pleasure. We stayed like this for a while both of us panting, and our hips driving into one another. I nibbled on his ear lobe while he playfully tugged my hair, before my body began to tremble.
“Niall I’m about-“ it was almost a whisper at this point.
“Do it baby” he said eagerly making his thrusts faster and sloppier.
I climaxed with him shortly after me. He soon collapsed next to me and I curled up into his side.
“Niall-“ I started. I was going to ask if I should leave, we didn’t need the paparazzi to snap a photo of me leaving his place early in the morning.
“Ssh, baby just cuddle with me.” He said with a small smile on his face as he wrapped his arms around my torso.
THIS GIF FUCKED ME UP OK
Chapter five of Treacherous will be posted tomorrow, and this chapter does have some smut so keep that in mind if that makes you uncomfortable!
i think its dumb if drug dealers get sentenced to longer in prison that rapists?? like people ask for drugs but no one asks for rape???
Finally someone said it.
I had been sitting at the desk for three hours and I was already counting down the minutes until I was able to take my lunch break. It was the first day of my internship as a marketing research intern in the finance department of Cheshire Enterprise Inc., and I was already over it.
The workload wasn’t bad; so far I had been analyzing data as well as customers feedback and combining the two to recommend business improvements. It was simply the fact that I was here performing bitch work for others while the rest of my friends were on vacation somewhere having a great time, this is what had me in a slump.
“Catherine, could you pick up lunch for our marketing team?” Ryan was my boss and even though I told him to call me Catie he stuck with Catherine. My biggest pet peeve.
“Sure thing Ryan.”
“Oh excellent!” He said with a sigh.
Did he really think I would tell him no on my first day?
“I have everyone’s order written down, Café Windsor is just down the block, be sure to get something for yourself as well.”
He handed me the company credit card, “Thanks again Catherine, really appreciate it.” He said before turning back down the hall.
I adjusted my sleek black pencil skirt and stood up from my desk chair. So Ryan was an overly nice boss, something I could probably get use to. In order to leave my cubicle I had to walk by three other interns who were working hard at the tasks at hand.
I bit into my bottom lip, because all three of them looked stressed hunched over their computer screens and I was worried that was how I would end up as well.
The café wasn’t hard to find, and when it came to ordering I simply had to restate what was on the list. After reading off the list of ten orders I decided to ask for a ham and swiss sandwich for myself, nothing fancy just something to get me through the day.
The boy behind the counter informed me that since I had a fairly large order for the small café it would be a couple of minutes to complete the order, so I grabbed a seat at a table and mindlessly surfed the internet.
I was constantly being told not to mindlessly surf the internet because there was always some sort of gossip going around about Harry, his band mates, and lately Gemma was even a target.
But I was a reasonable thinker, I knew that these magazines got paid to write interesting gossip that was far from the truth just to make a profit. I get it, they see Harry with a new girl and automatically she became his new girlfriend. If anything juicy in our family happened, I knew I would be well aware before any stupid magazine was.
I absolutely loved Cosmopolitan, I was a little addicted too it actually. So where as the rest of my family and friends had a hard time dealing with the rumors, I could take it, mainly because I needed my cosmo fix.
Mindlessly surfing a title for an article caught my eye, and my eyes widened in horror.
Niall Horan spotted with possible new girlfriend?
I shouldn’t click on that link, I knew better. But like I said I was a reasonable thinker, I could handle it.
Then I remembered that I was with Niall over the weekend, what if I was the new potential girlfriend? What if there were photos and Harry saw?
Without further due, I opened the link.
Of course my phone was being impossibly slow and the agonizing of waiting for it to load was becoming torture.
My jaw slowly fell opened when I saw there was a photo, of Niall, and a girl with a short blonde bob. Obviously it wasn’t me, I didn’t know how to feel. Should I be relieved or hurt?
If Niall had a girlfriend, he would have told me right? He wouldn’t be texting me to see “how I was doing”, or texting things like “I can’t wait to see you again”. He just wouldn’t right?
I hastily clicked out of cosmo not wanting to further read about Niall and his potential new fling. Instead I went straight to my apps and deleted my cosmo app right then and there.
I had fooled myself, I wasn’t a reasonable thinker, I was just as vulnerable to believe these stupid gossip magazines just like everyone else.
A thousand thoughts were cluttering my mind, should I text him? That would be weird… what would I even say? “Hey Niall, how’s the new girlfriend? Want to hang out later?”
I slowly shook my head to get rid of these stupid thoughts. Niall wasn’t mine, I shouldn’t even be upset by this. But I was.
“Order up for Catie.” The boy called out behind the counter.
I gently dabbed at the corner of my eyes before getting up and trying to compose myself as I walked to the counter.
“Thank you.” I spoke softly before turning and walking back to the office.
“How was your first day?!”
As soon as I had walked into the door my mum was pulling me in for a hug.
“It was fine.”
“Fine? What did you do, how many people do you work with? What did you have for lunch?”
I let out a small chuckle as to not offend her, but seriously mum I just walked in give me a minute to relax.
“Mum, slow down. I’ll tell you all about it later. Right now I just want a hot shower, and what’s for dinner?”
“Oh okay,” she looked disappointed for a brief second, but she perked right up as she clasped her hands together.
“Your brother will be here for dinner, he misses me I just know it!” mum said with pure joy in her voice.
“Uh huh, sure he does mum”. I called back before heading upstairs to take a shower.
After locking the bathroom door I turned on the water to get it nice and hot before I stripped out of my clothes letting them carelessly fall to the ground.
The water was hot but I stepped in and closed the curtain behind me. I stood there for a good minute just letting the hot water crash into me and instantly relaxing me after a long first day, filled with lots of emotions.
I didn’t take a fairly long shower but as I turned the water off I heard a variety of voices downstairs.
It sounded like Robin had came home and his booming voice was echoing into the upstairs.
I put a pair of short adidas shorts on and a blue t-shirt on before brushing my soft curls and leaving them as is before heading downstairs.
I was right Robin was in the kitchen talking to mum, but Gemma was in the living room talking to Harry. Everyone had came home while I was in the shower.
I walked past Robin and mum and into the living room where I sat on the couch next to Gemma while Harry sat on the chair facing us.
“There you are, where have you been?!” Gemma gave me a quick eye roll.
“What? Do you prefer I smell?” I said as I plopped down beside her.
“You didn’t smell, you showered this morning.”
I shrugged not bothered by her comment, “I find showers relaxing.”
“Gemma is giving everyone a hard time today.” Harry said as he leaned back to rest the back of his head on the top of the chair, looking like a wave of exhaustion just hit him.
“I was just curious.” Gemma said with an innocent shrug.
“Yes, she is my friend. But I brought her there to introduce her to Niall.”
My head shot up at the sound of his name, and my eyes instantly narrowed. Was Gemma prodding Harry for information on the blonde girl seen with Niall?
“Oh, well who is she?” Gemma asked innocently.
This is why Gemma was not only my older sister, but my best friend. She understood me in a way no one else did. Gemma had obviously seen the article and knew I wanted information, but I could never bring myself to ask Harry about Niall’s love life. It would be too embarrassing…
“I told you a friend,” Harry said as he brought his head back up from it’s resting spot, his eyes were narrowed in annoyance just like mine, a trait we so obviously shared. But something seemed to click in his eyes as they met mine, and instead his grew wide.
“No.” was all he said eyes locked with mine.
“No what?” Gemma asked clearly oblivious to what had just happened between Harry and I.
“You promised.” He said crossing his arms like a child.
“What are you talking about Harry?” play dumb like Gemma I told myself.
“Both of you are so obvious. Gem is over here asking me questions about Niall’s love life, which A she never does, and B here you are giving me a death glare after I told you that I brought my friend over to meet him, because C you promised you would have nothing to do with him.” He spoke gracefully, careful not to raise his voice at either of us, but I could tell he was hiding his emotions.
“I am curious about Niall’s love life, he is always going from one girl to the next he needs a stable relationship.” Gemma tried to defend herself, but all she received in return was an eye roll from Harry.
I shifted uncomfortably on the couch biting my bottom lip hard. Thankfully, dinner was ready and mum called for all us.
“Dinner’s ready!” she called happily unaware of the tension circulating from the three of us.
At the table mum asked questions about my internship, Harry’s current tour, and when he would be back next, while Gemma complained about one of her coworkers to Robin for most of the dinner, and I sat eating my dinner trying to avoid Harry’s eyes at all costs.
I could tell he was upset with me, yet again. But I didn’t know how to apologize for having feelings for Niall. I was trying to think of a plan of how I could lie to him and to say I didn’t have feelings for Niall, and still be able to see Niall.
But I knew that would never work. The only valid option was to call things off with Niall, and that was what I needed to do.
Posting chapter 4 in an hour!
Sorry for the wait, I’ve been busy!
